Local knitted poodle mascot hits the big time

Debbie, our faithful knitted poodle mascot has been with us for about 6 months now- She's been doing a brilliant job, and hasn't ever held that leg loss incident at the Christmas party against us. So believe me, I was as surprised as anyone to find that Debbie has been hiding her light under a bushel. It appears that Debbie has been doing a spot of moonlighting, starring in the Coen brothers new movie 'No Country for Old Men'. 'It was a difficult role to take on,' Debbie told me, 'but the brothers told me I had the perfect looks for the part'. My review of the film -'The Father, the Son and the woolly ghost' will be with you shortly. Meanwhile, fingers crossed for Debbie at the Oscars.

Snowblind

It didn't snow in Edinburgh last year, and with my last few winters spent in warmer climes, I haven't seen proper snow for about 3 years. So I went up Carlton Hill to have a gander with my camera and it was proper gorgeous. I got that heart leaping thing that you get when you see the ocean after being too long inland, or a lovely sunset after endless dull days. I haven't touched up these photos, so that weird eerie twighlight blue colour is how it really looked. 9 out of 10 Edinburgh snow!
